The Story Behind
Cool Cat Charters

Cool Cat Charters was born from my love of boating, coastal living, and showing people the best of Florida’s hidden gems.

The “Cool Cat” name reflects the laid-back, feel-good vibe we bring to every cruise. I wanted to create more than just a boat ride,  I wanted to offer memorable, private charters that feel like your own personal getaway.

Captain Rena

Welcome aboard! I’m Captain Rena - former Army Combat Medic, licensed Registered Nurse, and now the proud owner and operator of Cool Cat Charters. My love for the water began right here in Fort Pierce, growing up along the beautiful Indian River Lagoon. As the daughter of a boat captain, I spent much of my childhood on the water, learning early that the ocean is more than just a destination — it’s a place of peace, adventure, and discovery.
After years of serving others in both military and healthcare settings, I wanted to create something that combined my passion for people with my lifelong connection to the sea. Cool Cat Charters was born from that vision — to share the beauty, serenity, and wonder of our local waters with every guest who comes aboard.
As a USCG Master Captain, 25 Ton Near Coastal, safety is my top priority, followed closely by ensuring your time on the water is fun, memorable, and tailored to you. Whether we’re chasing a sunset, exploring hidden coves, or simply letting the ocean breeze carry us away from the day-to-day, my mission is for you to “Sea Things Differently” with Cool Cat Charters.

I look forward to welcoming you aboard and sharing my slice of paradise with you.

Captain Jenéia

Ahoy! I'm Captain Jenéia, the first boat captain in my family. At 33 years old, I’m excited to embark on this thrilling chapter of my life on the water. My family hails from Belize, where they too would sail on my great-grandfather’s boat, a tradition that has always been close to my heart.

After three years of learning the ropes and honing my skills, I recently earned my captain's license—a milestone that marks the beginning of many more adventures ahead. I’ve found a deep love and passion for the sea, and that passion drives every trip I take. Each journey brings a fresh experience, and I eagerly anticipate every trip I take with family, friends, and new acquaintances!

Captain Tony

Captain Tony is a 1600-Ton All Oceans Master Captain with more than 35 years of maritime experience. Born and raised on the Greek island of Kalymnos, a place steeped in seafaring tradition, Captain Tony’s life has always been tied to the water.

His professional journey began right here in Fort Pierce, Florida, serving aboard the Seward Johnson and Edwin Link - oceanographic research vessels once operated by Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution. From there, his career spanned the globe, working with some of the world’s most respected oceanography programs, including Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, University of Hawaii, Oregon State University, and Scripps Research Institution.

Captain Tony is also a proud member of the Order of the Sparrow, a distinction reserved for mariners who have sailed every ocean on Earth - from the icy Arctic to the remote waters of Antarctica.

While his career is filled with extraordinary voyages and achievements, what excites him most now is the opportunity to sail alongside his daughter, Captain Rena. Mentor, father, and lifelong mariner, Captain Tony is looking forward to this next chapter on the water - together.
